The COLA for 2026 has been announced, and it is an increase of 2.8%

This adjustment will take effect on January 1, 2026.

Anyone receiving SSD and/or SSI benefits will start receiving letters later this year, with the exact increase amount for your monthly payments.

As always, SSI payments are dependent on the individual’s living situation, income, and/or assets, and the monthly payment can fluctuate.

Please remember that payments are always a month behind, and the actual increase in benefit amount deposited into your account will not be noticed until your February deposit.
